Who We are

Female* StoryTellers was founded in 2012 as a way for women to share their stories and their voices and platform for women of Tucson to express themselves. We work to promote feminism and equality in our community by empowering women.

Each month women are invited to share their stories in the form of a 10-15 minute monologue. Our theme changes every month, but our mission remains the same- give women a space to speak and share.

In addition to providing this much needed space, we donate money to local organizations that promote women, children, and the arts in order to stay connected and give back to the community that we love.

At the start of the COVID Pandemic in 2020, FST! moved to virtual operations, and hosted livestreamed shows and video conference workshops, with the aim to continue creating spaces like we do with the shows. While we have returned to having monthly live shows, we continue to watch the situation with an abundance of caution, as we want to be sure all of our events are safe and inclusive. Additionally, we still provide virtual story sharing through our Unclenched Blog.

FST! Is incredibly grateful for the warm reception and amazing way the community has embraced us and we couldn’t be happier to be part of Tucson.

We encourage women and people of all historically marginalized genders to participate.
